Pokémon Bingo

buenas

Welcome again everyone to Pokémon Bingo, back by popular demand. This year's bingo is going to work exactly the same as last year's. If you weren't here for last Bingo, here's a quick rundown. Bingo is like a speedrun, but instead of racing to enter the Hall of Fame or obtain a certain amount of badges, you are trying to get a "bingo" on a board of actions you can do in the game. These actions can range from simple things like getting 6 gym badges or catching a specific Pokémon. The game of choice this year is going to be HeartGold, since it won the coinflip we picked it over SoulSilver (sorry soul silver heads).

When you complete a square, you "mark" it off on your bingo board, but if you ever un-complete that square you must un-mark it. You finish a run when you get a "bingo" with 5 squares forming a line across the board at the same time. Here is the bingo board:

How will you play the game? You'll be playing it on an emulator, because there is a specific randomized version of HeartGold that everyone is going to use. We'll drop instructions on how to get the ROM set up along with the actual bingo card on Day One of camp. From then, you and your cabin can play and explore around, find encounters and items, and try to draw up what you think the quickest possible bingo is. From there it's just up to you to execute the speedrun.

Rules

  • You are not allowed to use cheats.
  • Your emulator must be locked at 100% speed.
  • Your player name must be [your username's first four letters]. Example: Nick
  • To submit your run, take a screenshot of your in-game time once you have a bingo, and then take screenshots of all your proof. You CANNOT screenshot each bit of proof as you get it, since you must have all five squares completed at the same time to finish. Some squares are an exception to this - we will list these when we reveal the square. DM your submission and screenshots to Nick#9920.

You have all week to do Pokémon Bingo, and it isn't due until the end of Day 5. That's all!
